NIHFCU employs an intricate system to help monitor your credit and credit card actiivity to detect suspicious transactions.
It covers virtually all fraud categories including lost or stolen cards, counterfeit cards, application fraud, mail order and telephone fraud, and non-receipt of a card from an issuer.
- The sytem creates a composite file of each cardholder based on past transactions and merchant data.
- As your card is used, the system evaluates the transaction to determine if it falls outside the normal range of activity.
- If fraud is suspected, the monitoring system will attempt to contact you to verify the authenticity of the transaction. If they cannot reach you, NIHFCU will be notfied and appropriate action will be taken.
