Collateral Protection Insurance Auto/Motorcycle Insurance

If you have received a notice indicating that we have not received acceptable auto insurance on the vehicle you have financed with NIHFCU, it is because the insurance requirements of your loan agreement is still outstanding. Refer to the Reference ID and PIN in the upper right corner of the letter you received and visit www.MyLoanInsurance.com/nihfcu to upload your insurance binder.

Auto/Motorcycle Insurance requirement

Continuous insurance coverage with no lapses is required for the term of your auto/motorcycle loan with NIHFCU. Contact your insurance company and have a binder faxed to 877.510.3048 to verify the below information is included in your policy:
  • NIH Federal Credit Union named as lien holder or loss payee
  • Comprehensive and Collision coverage
  • Max deductibles not greater than $1,000

Lien Release Request

For loans paid in full and all account/DMV restrictions are clear: NIHFCU will send you a lien release letter or a released title. Your state DMV may send you a lien free title depending on which state your vehicle is titled.

If you have misplaced/lost a lien release previously sent to you: Complete a Duplicate Lien Release Form here. Please allow two business days from receipt for the Consumer Lending Dept. to complete your request.
