Federal Worker RIF Support

We’re here for you!

If you or your household are experiencing direct financial hardship due to the federal government’s downsizing activities, we’re committed to helping in any way that we can.

Financial Relief

If you have an NIHFCU certificate(s):

  • NIHFCU will waive the standard early withdrawal fee should access to these funds be needed before maturity. (Evidence of layoff and hardship will be required for the fee waiver).

If you have an NIHFCU loan(s):

  • Complete and submit this form, and an NIHFCU loan representative will consult on your needs and discuss an appropriate payment relief solution.

If you would like to apply for a new Loan(s):

  • Our share-secured loan may be a good borrowing option under certain conditions.  This loan allows members to borrow at a very low rate by using the NIHFCU shares they pledge to secure the loan

Speak to a specialist regarding this opportunity at 1-855-852-4748 or log in to online banking to apply.

Note: For all other loans, standard underwriting guidelines, including income requirements, remain in place.
