We have been made aware of a nationwide postcard scam targeted at recipients of mortgage and/or home equity loans.   We believe that this scam has been, or could soon be, sent to NIH Federal Credit Union loan holders and we wanted you to be aware.

If you receive this card in the mail, please know that it is a fraud and is in no way affiliated with or sanctioned by the NIH Federal Credit Union.

Rest assured, your loan with us is safe and we will not send notifications about your loan in this manner.

If you receive this fraudulent card (sample to the right) or anything similar, here is what you should and should not do:

  1. DO NOT call the number provided on the postcard

  2. DO discard the postcard

Importantly, If you mistakenly respond to the fraudulent instructions on the card,  please notify NIHFCU immediately by calling us at 1-800-877-6440 or emailing fraud@nihifcu.org
